This is what a dust storm looks like when it sweeps through a major city like Sidney! (september 2009)

This jogger didn't know that being out jogging in a sandstorm is not so good for your health..

I wonder if the photographers own health where at risk being out in the duststorm?

And if anyone knows:
-how will nature (the plants in specific) react on a sand storm like this? Will the growth die? Like what's happening around the Sahara desert, when it's spreading?
