To meet with God and encounter Gods holiness is like a good balade or music solo that gives you shivers.. or like the intimacy between lovers.. But it's better! It something worth seeking out. It's like when you see a mystery make sense, or when you reach a crest on a hill and you can overlook a vista and witness incomparable beauty, it's like that but better, cause it's also followed by God's perfect love and tenderness. :)
Where should I then go to encounter God?
Everywhere, in nature, at home, in a church, whereever you can set things aside and start talking with God.. The importance is not the outside? But the inside the requirements:is a humble and sincere heart and faith like the mustard seed, because without that little seed of trust (faith), God can do nothing.. as it is the foundation of every start of a relationship..
But hey God is full of mysteries so he might meet you before you even turn to him. Why? Answer: is his love for his children..
But the thing stated above is just a general rule of thumb I have noticed. I think that a proud persons prayer more is likely to not reach answers, because it is humility that God is seeking and repentance from sin. Just read the God's word to us in the Bible:
Jeremiah 9:
23 Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his fmight,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
24 But glet him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight,” says the Lord.
Psalms 119:
21 You rebuke the proud—the cursed,
Who stray from Your commandments.
Isaiah
15 For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, rwhose name is Holy:
s“I dwell in the high and holy place,
tWith him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
uTo revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16 vFor I will not contend forever,
Nor will I always be angry;
For the spirit would fail before Me,
And the souls wwhich I have made.
17 For the iniquity of xhis covetousness
I was angry and struck him;
yI hid and was angry,
zAnd he went on 5backsliding in the way of his heart.
18 I have seen his ways, and awill heal him;
I will also lead him,
And restore comforts to him
And to bhis mourners.
19 “I create cthe fruit of the lips:
Peace, peace dto him who is far off and to him who is near,”
Says the Lord,
“And I will heal him.”
20 eBut the wicked are like the troubled sea,
When it cannot rest,
Whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 “There is no peace,”
Says my God, “for the wicked.”
For you who suffer under the joke of religion be it Islam or christian or something else of the sort of rigid religiousness and outward piousness but without encountering God's love, read the following verses from the bible who describes the true longing of God:
Psalm 51:16
16 For nYou do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 oThe sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
This is what God longs for someone with a gentle spirit to turn to him for help, we all need him in our iniquity (the word meaning not fitting the measure - falling short), this is when we come to a place of surrender and that we really can see that we can't fullfill any true standard of holiness in ourself but are in need of Gods help for salvation, and that being recieving the mercy and the ractifying death of christ (Son of God and man, and holy father in one) of cross, when he bled for our sins and our iniquities.
This is the moment of surrender that could lead us to a true and restored relationship with God.
